This page shows the actual construction of the house.  Use the browser Back button to return to this page.  Some of the images may be large, so allow time to load.
garage-rafters-t.jpg (14513 bytes) This picture looks into the garage.  It shows the depth of the overhand at the eves.
Close-LookingN-t.jpg (16640 bytes) This view is to the north.   The breezeway is to the right.  The bank of windows in the front are where the living room is.  You can see the beginning of the bay window in the master bedroom on the far right.
LookingNorth-t.jpg (16847 bytes) This view also looks north but from further left.  It picks up the garage behind the Post Oak trees.  The shingles have been put on and the chimney in the living room is for a Vermont Castings stove.
Garage-Clapboards-t.jpg (10847 bytes) This shows the HardiPanel clapboard that are used on the gable.  In our desire to have this be more traditional in appearance, our builder has used these HardiPanel trim pieces as clapboards.  They give a very defined profile and have received very positive comments from the neighbors who are keeping a close eye on construction.
Since these pictures were developed -- no, I don't have a digital camera, the windows have been installed and the brick will begin to be laid on October 30.  Check back again for more progress.
